Lindsay Lohan will definitely have to go to trial.

The 26-year-old star won't receive any 'special treatment' in her court case - after being charged with lying to police about driving her car during a crash last June - and despite her criminal defence attorney Mark Heller's attempts to reach a deal with the prosecutors, Los Angeles City Attorney Terry White is expecting her in court on Tuesday (19.03.13).

A source told RadarOnline.com: 'The prosecutor will absolutely object to any motion that is filed attempting to prevent the trial from beginning next Tuesday. Heller has had more than enough time to prepare the case for trial, and if he tries to pull a stunt at the eleventh hour in hopes of causing a delay, he is going to be in for a very rude awakening.

'The California courts are overloaded right now, and any delay would only cost taxpayers money. Lindsay can expect to get no special treatment this time around, despite what she's been used to in the past.'

Mark has been desperately trying to reach a compromise for the troubled star - who has a history of run-ins with the law and of substance abuse - but Lindsay has so far categorically refused plea bargains which would see her go to jail for 45 days, rehab for 90 days or be placed under house arrest for 90 days.

Judge James Dabney has warned the lawyer he needs to get a California state legal expert on the case because he is risking ruining it.

The source added: 'That was two weeks ago, and Heller's had more than enough time to achieve that, so as far as the judge is concerned, no more excuses. This is only a misdemeanour case, it's not complicated and doesn't need to be dragged out.'

Regardless or not of whether the 'Mean Girls' star is acquitted, she could still go to jail for up to 245 days for violating her probation, which she has been on since July 2011 when she was caught stealing a necklace.
