KT Tunstall is getting divorced.

The 'Suddenly I See' singer has decided to split for good from her musician husband Luke Bullen after four years of marriage following a being separated from him for 'several months'.

The singer's spokesman Dave Woolf wouldn't comment on the reason for the split but told The Sun newspaper: 'They are now going to proceed with a divorce. I don't know any more details.'

KT, 36, met Luke in 2003 and married the 39-year-old backing musician in a lavish ceremony on the Isle of Skye in north west Scotland in 2008.

She previously said that tying the knot helped her stay grounded amidst the craziness of a career in the music business.

KT said: 'I'm glad he's there to keep me on the straight and narrow when we're on the road. You can't be a mess in front of the person you love.

'Being married has been brilliant. It's been hugely liberating. You can waste a lot of energy wondering whether you're with the right person. Once you get married, that disappears.'

The Scottish songstress shot to fame in 2004 with her debut album, 'Eye to the Telescope' which featured the hit single 'Other Side of the World'. The album eventually sold four million copies around the world and was certified platinum in the UK and US.
