Colin Farrell: 'Fatherhood is the most important thing'

Colin Farrell's children are his main priority.

The 'Seven Psychopaths' actor has two sons, James, nine, and Henry, three, from previous relationships and revealed he no longer worries about work so much because he just wants to spend all of his time with his kids.

Speaking at the eighth annual Oscar Wilde: Honouring the Irish in Film party at 'Lost' producer J.J Abrams' Bad Robot Productions in Santa Monica on Thursday (21.02.13), Colin told BANG Showbiz: 'Fatherhood is wonderful, it's so much harder to be away from home now that I have kids. They're so wonderful, I adore them so much.

'I don't get too stressed about movies anymore, you do your best and you hope for the best and then you finish the movie and walk away hoping for the best and go home to the kids.'

Colin spent three weeks at home in Dublin, Ireland over Christmas but admitted his visits to Ireland are few and far between these days because he spends all his free time with James and Henry in Los Angeles.

He explained: 'I spent three weeks at home over Christmas, I get home every year at Christmas and then once or twice throughout the year but my kids are here so as much as I love it when I go home, when I'm not working I like to spent time with them.'

While Hollywood's biggest night, the Academy Awards will take place on Sunday (24.02.13), Colin will be at home with the boys and won't be tuning in to watch it on TV.

He joked: 'I don't think they would watch such tedium.'

Other stars who turned out to support Colin at the US-Ireland Alliance's annual bash included Jim Sheridan, Steven Spielberg, Christopher Walken, Warren Beatty, Wes Bentley, Peter Gallagher, Jason O'Mara and Alan O'Neill.
