Josh Duhamel and Fergie want children soon.

The 40-year-old actor and his Black Eyed Peas singer wife are actively trying to have kids and Fergie, 37, joked they are enjoying the process.

She told Us Weekly magazine: 'We'll be happy when it happens. It's not really in our hands but trying is great for our relationship.'

Josh also revealed his wife trusts him completely.

Although the hunky actor recently filmed romantic movie 'Safe Haven' with blonde beauty Julianne Hough, he says Fergie is hugely supportive of his career and doesn't care about his love scenes.

He said: 'Luckily, I have a wife who really understands and is very supportive. She knows Julianne and she's like, 'Go for it. Make the best movie that you can.' When you have that kind of assurance you don't worry.'

The chivalric star previously admitted he asked permission from co-star Julianne's boyfriend, 'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest, before kissing her on set.

He said: 'Yes, I did feel the need to seek approval from Ryan before we started shooting the movie - mostly out of respect for Ryan and the relationship. But it was rather awkward!'

However, Julianne, 24, didn't think to get in touch with the hunky 'Transformers' star's other half until Josh reached out to her partner.

She said: 'Once [Josh] did it, I was like, 'Oh shoot! Should I call Fergie? Whoops!' '
