Stevie Wonder interrupted his Super Bowl concert on Saturday (02.02.13) to announce his daughter's engagement.
The 62-year-old singer had been performing a special show at the Bud Light Hotel in New Orleans ahead of the NFL showpiece game last night (03.02.13) and halfway through he told the crowd about Aisha Morris' happy news.
One concertgoer told the New York Post newspaper: 'Stevie said he wanted her fiancé to re-propose to her so her father could hear it. It was a lovely moment.'
Aisha is Stevie's backing singer and was the inspiration behind his hit song 'Isn't She Lovely'.
Speaking about Aisha, Stevie has said: 'She was the one thing that I needed in my life and in my music for a long time.'
During the show - which was one of the highlights of the sporting weekend, which culminated in the Baltimore Ravens beating the San Francisco 49ers - Stevie treated fans to a string of his hits including 'How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)' and 'Higher Ground', 'Master Blaster' and Michael Jackson's 'The Way You Make Me Feel'.
