Demi Lovato has broken her leg.

The 'Give Your Heart A Break' singer is on crutches and her right leg is in a cast after she fell in her home in Los Angeles last weekend.

The 20-year-old 'The X Factor' USA judge - who allegedly sleeps in a sober living facility - opened up about her injury with her fans on Twitter on Friday (01.02.13) and admitted: 'This sucks.'

She first tweeted a picture of her crutches last weekend with the caption : 'Needless to say, today was eventful. Hahahaha.'

Demi also indicated how the accident may have happened, saying: 'Never, ever, ever, EVER let your roommate clean your hardwood floors with Pledge.'

Despite having a huge mansion in Los Angeles, Demi reportedly chose to stay in the sober living facility on and off ever since being discharged from rehab in January 2011.

The 'Skyscraper' singer claims she has always had issues with her body image and confidence, but has overcome them by focusing on staying healthy and avoiding bad influences in her life.

She said in the past: 'I'm now taking better care of myself. I don't let my schedule determine who I am. I don't fly around the world constantly. I don't work 24/7.

'You need to be careful of who you hang out with, people you listen to. They can lead you down the wrong path, they can give you the wrong kind of direction. Try to stay away from the temptation.'
