Marvin Humes will spend Valentine's Day alone

Marvin Humes will be spending Valentine's Day alone.

It is his first since he married The Saturdays star Rochelle Wiseman, 23, last summer but the JLS singer will be on his own as his wife will be busy in the US where her band are promoting their reality show 'Chasing The Saturdays'.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Marvin, 27, said: 'My wife's going to be away in Los Angeles. So this year I'll be definitely spending Valentine's Day alone.'

Although the distance won't stop Marvin doing something romantic, the 'Proud' hitmaker refused to reveal his plans.

He joked: 'If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise then would it?'

The singer recently admitted he was so nervous when he proposed to Rochelle, who he started dating in March 2010, he said he wanted to make her the happiest man in the world.

He added: 'Yeah that's what I said, I got so tongue-twisted. I've got it on film as well - where I set up a camera ... I set it up as a still shot because it was at the end of the island and I said 'OK get ready 1 2 3' and then obviously I walked up to her and I had it on video mode so I videoed the whole thing.'
