Ricki Lake is moving to her Ibiza 'paradise'.

The 44-year-old star and husband Christian Evans are planning the move with her sons Milo, 15, and Owen, 11, from a previous marriage to Rob Sussman.

After making changes in her life just over a decade ago when she left New York, Rob and her role on 'The Ricki Lake Show', the star went on to start dating Christian in 2011.

The couple got engaged in August 2011, before tying the knot in April the following year.

Ricki will head to Ibiza on holiday, but wants to make a permanent move to the scene of her engagement and honeymoon.

She told the Metro newspaper: 'We are relocating [to Ibiza] as soon as we possibly can.

'We got engaged there, we went on our honeymoon there - it is our paradise. And the best part is, nobody in the US knows about it, and nobody there even recognises me.'

With a return to Ibiza on the cards, Rickie has also returned to the television show which made her famous.

'The Ricki Lake Show' ran for 11 years, and its host was a forerunner to the likes of Jeremy Kyle and Trisha Goddard.

She said: 'My old show was a phenomenon and I am so grateful to have been a part of pop culture.

'And the new show is still fun and outrageous but it is also a little bit more grounded, a little bit more sedate.

'There are no screaming matches, DNA tests and doorbells.'
