Jason Trawick loves Britney Spears' sons

Britney Spears' ex-fiance will continue to be part of her children's lives.

The former 'The X Factor' judge - who announced she and Jason Trawick had ended their year long engagement last week and returned her $90,000 3.5-carat ring to him - will continue to allow him to spend time with her boys Sean Preston, seven, and Jayden James, six, whose father is her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A source told People.com: 'Jason adores [Britney's] kids; he loves them. He was like their 'other dad,' so he's not just going to walk away from their lives. He'll be involved as much as makes sense.'

The boys are said to be doing well despite their mother's break-up, and their father Kevin has been credited for being a great influence and source of security in their lives.

The insider said they 'are doing great and [their father] Kevin [Federline] is actually a huge help and is a wonderful person in their lives.'

Meanwhile, friends close to the 41-year-old Hollywood agent claim he is open to having his own biological children despite previous reports indicating his lack of desire to have children with the 31-year-old popstar was the main reason behind their split.

One source said: 'Jason is genuinely open to kids of his own. There were so many issues in their relationship that Jason really wanted those worked out before they could ever move forward with a wedding or more kids together. There were some major challenges and hurdles and constant work that needed to be done. ... It just wasn't working and things weren't going to change, so it was time to let go.'

The 'Scream & Shout' singer's former agent and now ex-fiancé is ready to walk away with only the money he earned from 'The X Factor'.

Jason quit his job before the couple got engaged in December 2011 and stood by Britney's side - and he has no intention to try to get any cash out of his former fiancée.

A source previously said: 'Jason devoted a few years of his life to be Britney's main caretaker, and a year to being her legal co-conservator, but is walking away from the relationship with nothing but the money he earned from 'The X Factor' and that is totally OK by him.

'He made it clear to [her dad] Jamie Spears and Britney that he wasn't a charity case and didn't want or need any of her money.'
