Britney Spears' ex-fiance will never be able to discuss their relationship.

The 31-year-old 'Scream & Shout' singer - who split from Hollywood agent Jason Trawick recently after a 13-month engagement - has secured legal protection to prevent him from ever speaking about their romance and break-up in public.

A source told gossip website TMZ.com that her 41-year-old former love interest signed a confidentially agreement when he agreed to join her father Jamie as her co-conservator last year, which gave him legal control over her legal and personal affairs up until last Friday (11.01.13) when he removed himself from the position in court.

He is said to have willingly signed the document, which will prevent him from doing any interviews about Britney.

The insider also claimed that despite their recent split, the former couple are still extremely close and Jason would never talk publicly about their time together even if there was no agreement in place.

Earlier this week Britney - who shares sons Sean Preston, seven, and Jayden James, six, from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline - returned her $90,000 3.5-carat engagement ring to Jason.

The couple reportedly decided to end their relationship because he didn't want to have more children with her.

Confirming their split in recent days, Britney insisted she will 'always adore' Jason.

She said: 'Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends.'

Jason insisted he will always cherish Britney and her sons.

He said: 'As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.'
