Chris Brown and ex-girlfriend will always be friends

Karrueche Tran will always care about Chris Brown.

The 24-year-old model - who has recently been spending time with her ex-boyfriend despite being dumped by him last year so he could focus on his romance with Rihanna - has admitted their complicated relationship has been a 'rollercoaster' over the past year but they will always be friends.

She told Vibe magazine: 'I've been on a rollercoaster for the past year.

'It's a lot going on but it could be a lot worse. And that's how I look at life. I take it for what it is. I move forward, grow from it, and at this point, that's what I'm doing. I'm not gonna sit and dwell and become consumed in that negativity, because I could very much be that person, especially when things are so public and so thrown in my face.'

But despite having to face daily updates about the 'Diamonds' singer and the 23-year-old R&B star's relationship status as they flaunt their romance in public, Karrueche insists that she only wants the best for Chris.

She said: 'At the end of the day, he will always be a friend. We'll always care about each other.'

Asked what she would say if she was given the chance to talk to discuss their love triangle with Rihanna and Chris, she said: 'For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much. I'm a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I'd do it. I'm a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot. (Pause) Yeah, it would be a lot.'

Karrueche's comments come just days after she was spotted partying in the same nightclub in Los Angeles as her love rival on Sunday (06.01.13).

Chris was not present at the venue but his relationship with his model-ex has attracted fresh speculation recently after she joined him at his clothing line launch in Long Beach on Saturday (05.01.13) while Rihanna was enjoying a short trip to Ireland after they spent Christmas together.
