Matt Dallas has come out as gay.
The star of popular US TV show 'Kyle XY' shared his big news and his delight at getting engaged to his partner, musician Blue Hamilton, on his Twitter account on Sunday evening (06.01.13) and is pleased his 2013 has begun in such a 'great' way.
He posted: 'Starting off the year with a new fiancé, @bluehamilton. A great way to kick off 2013! (sic)'
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Blue and their dog lounging on a sofa.
Matt, 30, was a model for five years before his big break in 'Kyle XY' came in 2006.
He is also known for his role as in Chad in TV show 'Eastwick' as well as starring alongside Hilary Duff in 2010 romantic comedy 'Beauty and the Briefcase'.
Matt is also close friends with singing sensation Katy Perry and starred in the music video of her hit single 'Thinking Of You'.
Blue, who is based in Los Angeles, renovates houses in his spare time and is a committed equal rights campaigner and passionate environmentalist.
