Nathan Sykes wants restful holiday

Nathan Sykes will spend Christmas sleeping.

The Wanted singer loves being a pop star, but his busy lifestyle means he doesn't get much time to rest, so he is planning to make the most of the festive break with his family.

He said: 'One of the downsides to this job is that we don't get holidays, but hopefully this Christmas we'll get to spend some time with our friends and families and catch up on lost of sleep.'

Nathan feels grateful for the support of his bandmates Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuinness and Tom Parker and plans to buy them Christmas gifts.

He said: 'This year I might even treat the boys to presents.

'The people you don't need in your life shouldn't be there. You should concentrate on your friends and those who you respect and love. I'm so grateful to be in a band with these four - it's been an amazing journey so far and I can't wait for what else there is coming our way.'

All Nathan wants for Christmas is a pillow to make travelling easier.

Asked what is on his Christmas list, he said: 'A decent pillow for flights.'
