Peter Andre's family 'overwhelmed' by tributes to Andrew

Peter Andre's family have been left 'completely overwhelmed' by the tributes to his late brother.

The 39-year-old star's brother Andrew lost his battle with kidney cancer on Sunday (16.12.12) aged 54, and the pair's other brother Michael has taken to Twitter to thank those who have sent 'touching' messages of support during the difficult time.

He wrote: 'We're all completely overwhelmed by the thousands of condolence messages to Andrew from all of you. It's so touching to know your sharing some of the pain with us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so caring at such a hard time. I wish I could reply to you all but it's hard right now but every message means so so much. Thank you all. (sic)'

Peter is said to have been left 'totally incapable' following Andrew's death and his parents Sawas and Thea - who were by Andrew's bedside when he died along with the 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker and other family members - are 'totally distraught'.

A friend told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'Pete is just totally incapable at the moment. They are a strong-knit family and are pulling together but it's so hard.

'Their parents, Sawas and Thea, are both in their 80s and totally distraught. Pete has to be there for them.'

A number of Peter's friends from the entertainment world sent messages of support to the Australian star following Andrew's passing, including his ex-wife Katie Price, who he split from in May 2009 after three-and-a-half years of marriage.

She wrote on her Twitter page: 'My thoughts are with the Andre family at this difficult time xx.'

Meanwhile, TV bosses are said to be considering pulling episodes of Peter's new reality TV series, 'Peter Andre: My Life', because Andrew's final few weeks are featured on the show.

An ITV insider said: 'It's difficult to intervene because the shows have all been finished and are ready to broadcast.

'It might be that we have to postpone the episodes until a later date, depending on how Peter and his loved ones feel about them being broadcast.

'Everyone's thoughts are with him and his family.'
