Lindsay Lohan insists Max George begged her to date him.

The 'Liz & Dick' star - who has been spotted at several hotels with The Wanted singer in recent days - claims the 24-year-old British star made the first move on her but she is thrilled to be dating him.

A source close to the 26-year-old starlet told gossip website TMZ.com that she is telling her friends that Max pursued her from the first moment he met her on the same night she was arrested for allegedly attaching fortune teller Tiffany Mitchell in a New York nightclub at the end of last month.

The insider revealed that he invited her to hang out backstage with him at the Jingle Ball in Philadelphia on Wednesday (05.12.12) despite sources close to Max previously insisting he had no idea she was going to show up.

The friend also claims that Max wants Lindsay to join him on tour, and she has already been spotted with him in Boston and New York this week.

The troubled starlet is said to be happy to keep their relationship casual for the moment as she is really enjoying herself but isn't looking for anything serious.

Max recently admitted he thinks the actress is a 'nice girl' but claimed he had no interest in dating her.
