Khloe Kardashian has a spiritual connection with husband Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian says prayers are the secret to her happy marriage.

'The X Factor' USA host - who has been married to Los Angeles Clippers basketball star Lamar Odom for more than three years - says their spirituality helps them to stay connected especially when they are forced to spend time apart due to their hectic careers.

She told USMagazine.com: 'We are very spiritual and we say our prayers with each other every night. He will lead the prayers and it is so sweet.

'Sometimes his plane will land in the next city [at 4 a.m.] and he will still call me and we say our prayers. If I'm asleep and don't answer he will text me a prayer. It keeps us together.'

Meanwhile the 28-year-old 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star revealed that her family have no idea what to get her husband for Christmas later this month.

She said: 'Kourtney asked, 'Would Lamar like an iPad mini for Christmas?' I said, 'Absolutely not!' He would have no idea what to do with it. He'd be, like, 'I can't write on this thing.''

But despite not being particularly tech savvy, Khloe revealed that she and Lamar love to Skype each other when he is away playing basketball.

She said: 'I have to walk him through it on the phone and it takes forever. He's just not a very big electronics person.'
