Peter Facinelli's new girlfriend has opened up about their relationship.

The 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' star - who announced his split from 40-year-old 'Beverly Hills 90210' actress Jennie Garth in March after 11 years of marriage - went public with his 28-year-old former co-star Jaimie Alexander by bringing her to a screening of the new vampire movie earlier this month and she admits that he is the best boyfriend she has ever had.

She told US Weekly magazine: 'Peter's a classy guy who cares a lot about the people [around him] and . . . he makes me laugh. That's really more than I've ever found with anyone else.'

The 38-year-old is preparing to celebrate the festive season without his daughters as they will be with Jennie because they recently spent Thanksgiving with him but Jaimie revealed they won't be celebrating together either although they are hoping to do something special in the New Year.

She said: 'Maybe we'll do something for the New Year. We're not sure yet - it's all very up in the air.'

Jaimie previously worked alongside 38-year-old Peter - who shares three daughters, Luca, Lola and Fiona with Jennie - on the show 'Nurse Jackie'.
