Francesca Eastwood has been named Miss Golden Globe 2013.

The aspiring actress - daughter of Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood - is stepping into the spotlight much like her father, landing a role assisting celebrity guests on and off stage at next year's awards ceremony.

Francesca, 19, was confirmed as Miss Golden Globe 2013 at Cecconi's Restaurant in West Hollywood, California, on Thursday (29.11.12).

Aida Takla-Reilly - the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the body that organises the ceremony - and last year's Miss Golden Globe, Gia Mantegna, joined her on stage to celebrate her appointment.

Aida said: 'Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe. She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show's 70th anniversary.'

The blonde beauty's famous father, Clint, 82, has won three Golden Globes for Best Director during his illustrious career for 1989's 'Bird', 1993's 'Unforgiven' and 2005's 'Million Dollar Baby'.

Francesca made several appearances on stepmother Dina's E! reality show 'Mrs. Eastwood & Company' earlier this year along with her boyfriend, photographer Tyler Shields.

The 2013 Golden Globe Awards will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Hollywood on January 13.
