Tulisa left Jody Latham feeling like 'an idiot' when she ended their romance.

The 'Young' hitmaker began dating the 30-year-old actor when they worked together on the pop video for her single 'Sight of You' last month and the former 'Shameless' star was stunned when she suddenly called off their fledgling relationship as they had already discussed settling down together.

A source told The Sun newspaper: 'He thought he had a future with Tulisa. She said she wanted to get married and have children in the near future. They spent a week together in secret in her flat in London and barely left each other's sides.

'She was vulnerable when she wasn't on the TV and he wanted to protect her. He would have done anything for her - but then she just turned cold on him.

'Jody really liked her. He said there was something about her that just made her special. He obviously found her really sexy too. The relationship took off quickly - physically, emotionally and mentally.

'Neither apparently saw it as a fling. Tulisa let Jody believe the relationship was going somewhere. Now he regrets allowing things to develop so fast. Jody is gutted, he feels like an idiot.'

The insider claims Tulisa, 24, gradually cooled off her relationship with the actor, before telling him she is now dating Newcastle United soccer player Danny Simpson.

First she reduced her contact with Jody, and then she broke the news of her new relationship in a text message.

The source added: 'She came to Manchester and said she was in a hotel but didn't have time to meet as she was with her friends.There were less texts and phone calls, she was clearly cooling things.

'That night Jody went to a bar and saw her there. He went to talk to her and she had just disappeared. Next morning he sent her a text to end the relationship, but said he wanted to stay friends.

'He and Tulisa kept messaging but then he got a text saying she was dating Danny. She said she was so sorry and didn't cheat on him. He said he'd stay friends, but a lot's happened now. He's upset.'
