Katie Holmes wants to do more theatre

Katie Holmes has revealed she plans to continue doing more live theatre.

The 33-year-old actress - who split from 'Rock of Ages' star Tom Cruise, 50, in June after six years of marriage - is currently starring in the Broadway production 'Dead Accounts' and can't imagine ever getting bored of performing on stage in front of an audience.

She told Vogue: 'It's exciting because there's no close-up, so a person has to use every inch of themselves. So you're never done -- and who wants to be done? It's just another opportunity to keep growing.'

The actress, who appeared in the Broadway show 'All My Sons' in 2008, stars in the new show alongside Norbert Leo Butz, Judy Greer and Josh Hamilton and previously admitted she feels the pressure to win rave reviews.

She said: 'I have a hard time sleeping because I think about how serious this all is,' she admitted. 'I think about the cost of tickets. I think to myself: 'You better do a good job. People are paying a lot of money.' You want to know your stuff.'

The brunette beauty - who is mum to six-year-old daughter Suri Cruise - also opened up about their life at home and admitted she is a terrible cook.

She said: 'Me in the kitchen is a comedy. But it's heart breaking for me going through it.

'But for others, they probably think it's funny because all the pans are out and I get frustrated, and suddenly it's burning. And I went to Eataly (Mario Batali's New York market) I got the stuff. And it still turned out, like... not good.'
