Bobby Brown
Bobby Brown has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence (DUI).
The 43-year-old singer was arrested last month when police observed him driving erratically on a Los Angeles street and while he did not appear in court on Friday (16.11.12), his attorney, Tiffany Feder, entered the plea on his behalf
Bobby also denied two other crimes, 'driving on a restricted licence and driving a vehicle without a vehicle interlock device', which stem from a prior DUI conviction this year.
Bobby could face up to two years in jail and may also have violated his probation from his earlier conviction which took place in March when he failed a sobriety test and as part of his release deal, agreed to enter rehab.
However, in August he checked out early because he didn't think he needed anymore help.
A source said at the time: 'Bobby is no longer in rehab, he decided he's had enough treatment for his problems.
'When he first checked in, he promised his family and friends, including his New Edition bandmates, that this time he was going to stay in rehab for the full treatment.
'However, after fulfilling his duties for his DUI plea deal, Bobby has decided that he doesn't need treatment anymore.'
The next pretrial hearing is scheduled for December 13.
