Kim Kardashian will attend the Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina tonight (15.11.12).
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star was invited by a member of the planning committee to go to the party and was so delighted she changed her schedule around to make sure she could make it.
A source told E! News: 'She was invited by one of the Marines who is a part of the planning committee for the event to attend as a special guest. She's in production now, but was able to move things around and make the trip for this. She's really looking forward to it.'
Kim is the latest star to attend such an event with Justin Timberlake and his 'Friends With Benefits' co-star Mila Kumis both accepting separate invitations last year.
After Mila received an offer from Sgt. Scott Moore to accompany him to the event in Greenville, North Carolina, on November 18 - when he posted a video asking her out on YouTube - Cpl. Kelsey De Santis did the same by inviting Justin to the gala in Washington D.C. on November 12.
She said: 'You want to call out my girl Mila, well I'm gonna call you out and ask you to come to the Marine Corps Ball with me on November 12 in Washington D.C. And if you can't go, all I have to say is 'Cry Me a River.''
