Beyonce Knowles's daughter and nephew are like siblings.

The 'Crazy in Love' hitmaker's 11-month-old girl Blue Ivy spends a lot of time with eight-year-old Julez - the son of Solange Knowles and her ex-husband Daniel Smith - and have already developed a close bond.

Solange told New York Magazine: 'Blue comes over, I babysit. Beyonce takes Julez sometimes for the weekend. Blue and Julez are going to grow up more like sister and brother than cousins.'

And it seems spending time with Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z is having an effect on Julez as he is showing signs of being an aspiring rapper.

Solange said: 'He loves it. It's so scary.'

Solange, 26, became closer to Beyonce, 31, following the breakdown of her marriage.

The 'Losing You' singer married Daniel Smith at age 17 and moved away from her family to live with him in Idaho but they separated when she was 21 years old.

She said: 'It was a time when you really, really need your sister. Every time there was drama and I was all the way in Idaho, it was nice to be able to call. Now it's kind of a reversal, with her getting married and having a baby after me.'
