Siva Kaneswaran is terrified of polka dots.

The Wanted singer has an irrational fear of the pattern and was horrified to discover his room in the hotel he arrived at in New York on Thursday (18.10.12) is covered in them.

He tweeted: 'Great got to my hotel room and it's my worst nightmare. Polka Dots on the walls, bed sheets, floors! #SivaHatesDolkaDots #Phobia (sic).'

Siva even revealed his longterm girlfriend, luxury shoe designer Nareesha McCaffrey never wears the offending pattern around him.

When a fan asked him 'So is Nareesha not allowed to wear anything with polka dots on it?' Siva jokingly replied 'She knows the rules!'

Siva then decided to go straight to sleep so he could try and forget about the 'nightmare of a room'.

He tweeted: 'Gonna go sleep now and pretend I'm not in this polka dot covered nightmare of a room. Goodnight TWFanmily (sic).'

Siva recently revealed he found a fan amongst his belongings when he moved house.

The heartthrob was confused when he saw an unlabelled box amongst his belongings in a moving truck - and was even more surprised when he discovered its contents.

He said: 'We moved out to different apartments and we had a moving vans going all over London.

'And in my moving van there was an unknown box and in that box was a fan and the fan was in there for about three hours. And so I got out and saw this random box and I opened it up and the box is lined with plastic and there was a girl ... a red faced girl sweating! She stank. She was in there for three hours. She wasn't supposed to smell like roses, was she?'
