Jared Followill: 'I miss my wife'

Jared Followill hates being away from his wife.

The Kings of Leon bassist married model Martha Patterson last month and gets upset when he has to spend any time apart from her.

After boarding a flight on Thursday (18.10.12), he wrote on twitter: 'Loneliest flight I've ever taken, I miss my wife.

'This is the worst kind of tweet that used to drive me crazy to read. But ... Nobody knows how much I miss my wife. Can't be away from her.'

Jared proposed in Nashville, after just a few moths of dating, with a four-carat cushion-cut diamond, set on a diamond band, which he designed himself.

His representative announced the engagement saying: 'Yes, it's true! Jared proposed to Martha on April 11 at his home in Nashville and we're all excited for the newly engaged couple.'

Jared also wrote on his twitter page: 'It's true! I'm engaged! CANNOT wait to finally lose my virginity (sic).'

Jared's brother and bandmate Nathan is currently expecting his first child with wife Jessie Baylin, while their other sibling Caleb - the group's singer - and his wife Lily Aldridge welcomed daughter Dixie Pearl into the world in June.
