Justin Timberlake is a hopeless romantic

Justin Timberlake was ready to get married at the age of 14.

The 31-year-old singer and actor - who is set to wed 'Hitchcock' actress Jessica Biel later this year - is a true romantic and a relationship guy that always wanted to get married, according to his former N-Sync bandmate Lance Bass.

He told US Weekly magazine: 'I think Justin was ready to marry when he was 14. He's always been a hopeless romantic and always in love. 'And he's had amazing, amazing relationships and very long relationships. He's never been one of those that dates a girl here and there . . . He's a relationship guy.'

Lance praised Jessica and said the 'Total Recall' star is the perfect woman for his good pal Justin.

He said: 'Well, to me, I just love that she's a guy's gal. She can get right in there and talk basketball, football and drink a beer with you, and that's what he needs. He needs someone who can hang with the guys.'

'And she has not aged a bit. My first acting job -- I did 7th Heaven with her -- and I look completely different.'

The 'SexyBack' singer - who is reportedly working on a new album - popped the question to Jessica during their annual winter holiday to Jackson, Wyoming last December.

He recently opened up about his fiancee and why their relationship of more than five years still works.

He said: 'She's a really, really, really special person. Plus, she's really, really, hot!

'I answer to a higher power now. We have a couple of rules in our relationship. The first rule is that I make her feel like she's getting everything. The second rule is that I actually do let her have her way in everything. And, so far, it's working.'
