Adele nails a perfect "10" with her new song for the James Bond film.
This honor has been played out for decades by the great Shirley Bassey, as well as 80s band Duran Duran and even Tina Turner in the heyday of her 80s comeback.
Adele's song is already breaking iTunes record and will play over the opening credits to the latest 007 film.
"Skyfall," co-written by Adele and frequent collaborator Paul Epsworth, shows off a classic epic Bond theme style brought with a massive wall of sound, courtesy if a 77-piece orchestra, recorded at Abby Road Studios.
Adele's lush vocal may surpass the great Shirley Bassey, the British singer who has belted three classic Bond themes over the last five decades.
