Amanda Bynes skips suspended licence hearing

Amanda Bynes skipped her hearing with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on Monday (24.09.12).

The 26-year-old star was formally charged on Friday (21.09.12) with two counts of driving on a suspended licence after two incidents at Burbank Airport in California and while her attorney defended her, Amanda chose to remain in New York where she is launching a fashion range after quitting acting.

A source told E! News: 'She has moved to New York indefinitely to start her fashion line.'

The troubled former 'All That' star has another hearing scheduled for Thursday (27.09.12) for two hit-and-run charges but insiders say she has no plans to return for that court appearance either.

Amanda has faced a string of recent troubles including having her car impounded and facing charges of DUI (driving under the influence).

She was also involved in two bizarre episodes last week, locking herself in a store changing room for nearly two hours and refusing to come out and stripping off during a gym class.

An onlooker in the class said: 'Amanda stopped to take her T-shirt off, revealing only a tiny, black, strapless push-up bra - not a sports bra.

'She then picked up her Louis Vuitton handbag and pulled out her makeup kit and started reapplying her lipstick and eyeliner while looking at herself in the large mirror in front of her.'
