Robbie Williams on best behaviour for daughter

Robbie Williams is trying to clean up his act since becoming a father.

The 'Candy' singer and wife Ayda Field became parents for the first time on Tuesday (18.09.12) to Theodora Rose and the 38-year-old star is determined to stop swearing because he wants to set a good example for his daughter.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1's Greg James show, he said: 'I do have a potty mouth, I really do. I am going to have to curb it.'

Robbie also revealed he and Ayda, 33, were delighted Theodora wasn't born on a Wednesday because he was paranoid about the nursery rhyme which states 'Wednesday's child is full of woe', because he was born on that day and had his share of troubles in the past, including drug addiction.

He said: 'I was born on a Wednesday and Wednesday's child is full of woe. I was full of woe. I believed in the poem during my twenties.'

However, Robbie has previously warned he won't be a strict dad because he was so rebellious himself when he was young.

He said: 'It's going to be really difficult for her to get in trouble though with me. My cousin, who I used to get in trouble with when I was about 12 or 13, his kids are now that age and he gives them a right rollicking.'
