Chantelle Houghton still 'raw' after split

Chantelle Houghton is 'still really raw' from her break-up with Alex Reid.

The 29-year-old star ended her relationship with the cage fighter just two days after he was arrested outside of their home on September 5 and she is now spending her time focusing on the pair's three-month-old daughter Dolly to try and forget her heartbreak.

Speaking in her new! magazine column, she said: 'It's been a difficult week, as I'm sure people will understand. It's only been a matter of days since Alex and I split so it's still very raw and I am really, really upset.

'I tried everything in my power to make my relationship work. I have been trying to keep busy with Dolly - after all, she is the most important one in all of this.'

However, first-time mother Chantelle is struggling to deal with all that having a new-born baby can entail, and is ignoring advice from others about sleeping patterns.

She said: 'After her 5am feed, she won't settle, so I take her into my bed. People say I'm making a rod for my own back, but at least we both get some sleep.'
