Daniel Radcliffe: Good relationships are important

Daniel Radcliffe believes the most important thing in life is having a good relationship with your loved ones.

The 'Harry Potter' actor admits he is often plagued by self-doubt and worries about his work and it is at these times when he realises having great friends and a loving family are so crucial.

Speaking in a live web chat as part of The Trevor Project's Talk to Me Campaign for National Suicide Prevention Month, he said: 'When you do feel self-doubt or you do feel unhappy and you talk to someone about it, its better, I do believe that a problem shared is a problem halved. But with things like self-doubt and the slightly more nagging things you do have to have to live with them for a while ... You have to live in that place for a bit and if that really frightens you then that's when turning to a friend will help. Those are the times when the quality of the relationships around you are really what is most important in life, in anyone's life.'

Daniel - who is dating production assistant Rosie Coker - admits he suffers from insecurities about his talents as an actor and spends hours fretting about his performances and roles.

However, the 23-year-old star insists these worries are common for a lot of the 'neurotic' actors he knows.

When asked what the hardest thing about his career is, he revealed: 'A lot of the time it's fighting your own insecurity and doubt and this is something I talk to a lot of actors about. Most of the actors I know are also some of the most neurotic people I know and it's strange that a combination like that exists so much. I think for a lot of the time about the jobs that I've got coming up I have a lot of nerves about them.'

The Trevor Project is an organization that provides 'crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning young people under 24'.
