Kelsey Grammer didn't have sex with his ex-wife for 10 years.

The former 'Cheers' star - who had his divorce from former spouse Camille finalised last week with them each getting approximately $30 million each - said he had been chaste for a long time before meeting his current wife Kayte Walsh.

Responding to rumours he and Kayte had slept together on the night they met, Kelsey told talk show host Conan O'Brien: 'Well we kissed that night. We didn't do anything much more than kiss for several months.

'I just wanted to clear that up ... she was worth the wait.

When Conan remarked, 'I would think that would be difficult,' Kelsey said: 'Well, for a guy that hadn't had sex for a decade it wasn't that hard!'

The 57-year-old actor has launched a number of verbal attacks against Camille - with whom he has two children, daughter Mason, 10, and seven-year-old son Jude - recently, saying their marriage was over almost as soon as it began and he only stayed with her out of obligation, but Camille isn't fazed.

She said: 'I wish [Kelsey] no ill will and I have moved on.'

Camille has been dating Dimitri Charalambopoulos since splitting from Kelsey.

The actor also has two daughters, Spencer, 28, and 19-year-old Kandace, from previous relationships and he and Kayte are expecting twins later this year.
