Kate Bosworth has confirmed her engagement to Michael Polish.

The 29-year-old actress - who first referred to her film director beau as 'my fiancee' in a VOGUE.com travel blog post in August - has officially announced her engagement on twitter by sharing a picture of her posing with her engagement ring and thanking fans for their well wishes.

The 'Blue Crush' actress wrote: 'This photo was taken by my husband-to-be! Thank you all for the wonderful engagement wishes... We feel truly blessed.'

Kate has been dating Michael, 41, since July 2011 and first let slip news of the couple's engagement in an online travel piece about their romantic trip to Seoul, South Korea.

The fashionista wrote: 'On our first day in Seoul, my fiancé, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace.'

She posted a ten image photo gallery which included candid shots of the film director, finishing up with a snapshot of the pair looking lovingly into each others' eyes at a special Calvin Klein exhibition.

Michael recently directed the blonde beauty in upcoming indie film 'Big Sur' which chronicles Jack Kerouac's three visits to a cabin on the Northern California coast.

Kate has previously been romantically linked to Alexander Skarsgaard and Orlando Bloom.
