Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is to be a dad for the second time.

The 30 year old's girlfriend Sarah Aspin - who is mother to his 15-month-old son Jack - found out that she was pregnant just four days after Blake was put into a medically-induced coma after being taken to hospital suffering from organ failure following a suspected drink and drugs binge.

Sarah admits she even considered abortion when Blake was put into a coma, but she eventually decided against it.

She said: 'I don't agree with abortions, but I couldn't help but think that being on my own with two children, while I was grieving, could be too much to deal with.

'But I thought that I had Blake's life inside me - and there was no way I was going to get rid of it.'

Sarah, 34, told Blake the happy news when he was brought out of his coma, and he is recovering so well that doctors have told him he might be allowed out of hospital next week, although she admits it was 'touch and go' at one stage.

She explained: 'The doctors told me to phone his family and prepare them for the worst. It was a horrible, horrible time.

'It was really scary. We didn't know if Blake would make it through as he was in a coma and his organs just seemed to be shutting down.'

Sarah admits she used to get 'annoyed' with Blake when he spoke to Amy - who was found dead at her London home in July last year - for 'two to three hours' at a time on the phone, but she eventually realised he wasn't going to go back to her.

She added to Reveal magazine: 'Amy used to phone Blake late at night and he'd speak to her for two to three hours at a time.

'Sometimes I would get annoyed. She would say all sorts of things about how much she loved him - she was always telling Blake she loved him

'If he'd wanted to be back with Amy, he had plenty of opportunities to go back to her. But he chose to be with me.'
