Kelsey Grammer's fourth wife was first who wanted kids

Kelsey Grammer's current spouse is the first who has wanted to have children with him.

He has four children with three different women, but fourth wife Kayte Walsh was open about her desires to start a family with the former 'Frasier' and 'Cheers' star..

He said: 'I don't want to hurt my other children but this is the first time in my life that I've been with someone who wanted children with me.

'It seems odd but it's true. And it's a unique experience . . . a loving experience that I haven't had before.'

Kelsey met Kayte on a Virgin Atlantic flight, and they married in New York 18 months ago after a whirlwind courtship.

He continued to the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'This marvellous young woman came into my life and said, 'I'd love to have your children and I'd love to be your wife',' he says.

Their daughter Faith was born last month but Kayte was expecting twins and Faith's brother died in the womb.

At 32, Kayte is 25 years younger than her husband, she left her home in Portishead, England to move to Los Angeles with her new husband, who has her name tattooed inside his right hip.

She has also given up her flight attendant job to try her hand at acting and has a role in Kelsey's new television series 'Boss'.

He said: 'She speaks well, she does the job well and I thought it would be fun to try. We may explore other things.'
