One Direction win big at We Love Pop awards

One Direction were the big winners in the We Love Pop awards.

The boy band - made up of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne - scooped four gongs in the magazine's inaugural annual awards including the coveted Best Band in Pop trophy.

Harry walked away with two individual trophies - for Best Hair in Pop and Fittest Boy in Pop - but was beaten into second place for Best Bum in Pop by bandmate Louis.

Jessie J was also a big winner at the awards, with the 'Price Tag' hitmaker taking home Most Stylish Pop Star In The World and Most Inspiration Pop Star Ever.

She said of the honour: 'I am so happy! Thank you to all of

the fans who voted for me to win these two amazing We Love Pop awards. HAPPY DANCE!'

While Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez won the Best Couple in Pop award, he was also voted Most Useless Popstar.

The awards were created this year to honour the TV,

film and pop worldʼs greatest stars - as voted for by

readers of the teen pop magazine - as part of We Love Popʼs first birthday celebrations.

Editor Malcolm MacKenzie said: 'Pop regularly gets overlooked at stuffy award ceremonies, which are mostly voted for by a bunch of crinkly men. The We Love Pop Magazine Awards are voted for by the genuine fans of

pop music, (our readers) and guess what? Adele doesn't even crack the top ten in the Best Female category. How refreshing.

'The reader response was so massive we will definitely be making it an annual event.'
