Cuba Gooding Jr.
Cuba Gooding Jr. met with police this morning (01.08.12) after an arrest warrant was issued for him.
A misdemeanour battery warrant was filed for the 'Jerry Maguire' actor after he allegedly shoved a female bartender against a wall at The Old Absinthe House in New Orleans in the early hours of yesterday morning (31.07.12) but it has reportedly now been dismissed following the meeting.
His representative told gossip website TMZ: 'There is no warrant. Mr. Gooding, his representative and the New Orleans authorities met this morning and are moving swiftly to resolve this misunderstanding.'
Cuba is said to have become upset when some customers at the bar started taking his picture, he started verbally abusing them and was asked to leave by the female bartender.
However, Cuba was reportedly furious and shoved her against the wall. While the police were called, no arrests were made at the time.
The actor is in New Orleans to film 'The Butler' with Oprah Winfrey.
The movie - which also stars Forest Whitaker, Terrence Howard, Alan Rickman, Vanessa Redgrave and Jane Fonda - is based on the life story of Eugene Allen, who worked in the White House over the course of three decades.
'The Butler' is being directed by Lee Daniels.
