Jeremy Renner is 'very happy' to have stopped working out.
The 41-year-old actor embarked on a tough gym regime to get in shape to play Aaron Cross in 'The Bourne Legacy' and is thrilled that he can now relax.
He told 'Access Hollywood': 'I haven't been in the gym in three-and-a-half months and I'm very happy about that.
'You get up at four in the morning and work out for eight hours and fight and stretch and do all this stuff because it's part of your job. But I'm not doing that if I'm not working.'
Although the original star of the 'Bourne' franchise, Matt Damon, doesn't appear in the new movie, Jeremy is hopeful they could work together on a future sequel.
He said: 'What's exciting about the movie is that there's many ways it can go... and I'm very excited about any direction it goes. Working with Matt would be f***ing awesome...there's loads of ways it can go.'
Meanwhile, Jeremy has adopted two French bulldogs following the death of his beloved pooch Franklin in March.
He revealed: 'I decided to get a couple more of the same sort of dog, French bulldog.
'They're compact; they're not small. I couldn't emasculate myself anymore.'
