LeAnn Rimes had to undergo dental surgery after suffering from tooth ache.

The 29-year-old singer had to visit an endodontist - who specialise in treating problems with the root of the tooth - after suffering from serious discomfort in her mouth, but has thanked her fans for praying for her while she underwent the scary procedure yesterday (30.07.12).

She wrote on twitter: 'Out of surgery!!!! All is well. My whole face is numb and I'm starving....bad combo. Thx for all your prayers. (sic)'

However, her teeth traumas are not yet over as she still needs another surgical procedure.

She added: 'Now I heal...til next Monday....more surgery, minor though. :) (sic)'

LeAnn had been particularly nervous in the run-up to the surgery, but was glad she would be in good hands.

She added: 'Going into an 8 hr surgery tmrw.....beyond anxious. Thank goodness for a rocking Anesthesiologist :) (sic)'

It is the second time LeAnn has undergone an operation on her mouth this year; in February she felt her 'whole head pound' after having minor surgery.

She wrote on twitter at the time: ''K, coming clean ... I had minor surgery this week and I've been in SO much pain it's not even funny.

'Nothing major just annoying! Pain pain go away!!!!!! When it's mouth pain and jaw pain it makes your whole head pound! YUCK. (sic)'
