Pete Andre says the age gap between him and his girlfriend is 'irrelevant.'

The 39-year-old reality TV star is 17 years older than medical student Emily MacDonagh, but he is enjoying dating her so much, he doesn't even think about it.

He said: 'I'm really, really, happy and even though it's very early days with Ems, we're just seeing how it goes. She's a really beautiful girl and I'm loving spending time with her.

'A lot has been made of the age gap between us but she turns 23 this week and we don't even think about the age difference, it's irrelevant.'

Peter - who has children Junior, seven, and Princess, five, with ex-wife Katie Price - met Emily through her father, surgeon Dr. Ru MacDonagh, and he has his and his wife's Becks' blessing to date their daughter.

A source close to the star told new! magazine: 'Dr Ru and his wife know Pete is a gent and they have no problem at all that he's seeing Emily. They wholeheartedly approve as they're such good friends. Pete's family are equally chuffed as they think Emily is a fantastic girl.'
