Keith Allen confirms Lily Allen is pregnant

Lily Allen's father has confirmed she is pregnant.

The 'Not Fair' hitmaker has been rumoured to be expecting her second child with husband Sam Cooper and now actor Keith Allen has admitted the reports are true.

Speaking on UK TV show 'This Morning' today (16.07.12), Keith put an end to speculation by saying: 'Yes, she is pregnant.'

Though the star never commented directly after reports of her pregnancy were published earlier this month - on the same day as she was named one of the top tweeters - she made a veiled reference to the claims on twitter.

She wrote: 'Thank you for all your congratulations today. I honestly couldn't be happier. such an honour to be on the list !â?ª#Timestop50tweetersâ?¬ (sic)'

She later hinted on twitter that she might be pregnant, musing: 'Hormones getting the better of me I think.'

Lily, 27, and Sam - who married in June 2011 - became parents to daughter Ethel Mary last November, and though they are 'surprised' to be expecting another child so quickly, they are said to be thrilled about expanding their family further.

A source said recently: 'It was a surprise but Lily and Sam are thrilled. The pair of them have loved every minute of parenthood so far and wanted to expand their brood quickly. So it's great timing.'

Almost two years ago, Lily and Sam, 34, were left devastated when they lost their baby six months into the singer's pregnancy.

In 2008, the brunette beauty - who recently confirmed she was returning to her pop career - suffered a miscarriage while dating Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.
