Kim Kardashian got pulled over by police

Kim Kardashian got pulled over by police for not showing her license plates on her car.

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star was stopped by the California Highway Patrol on Thursday (12.07.12).

Kim's brand new $300k custom Rolls Royce Ghost was pursued by the vehicle with lights and sirens in the afternoon as she was driving on the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles.

Sources told website TMZ.com, that Kim was released without punishment when she showed officers that she secretly keeps her license plates in the glove compartment of her motor.

Kim did not receive a ticket in order to pay a fine and may have been let off because paparazzi had been following her from a nearby gym.

Kim traded her old white version of the car - which apparent costs about $250,000 at a base price, for her new black vehicle only a couple of weeks ago.

The 31-year-old reality TV star - who is dating rapper Kanye West - recently said her mother and manager Kris Jenner doesn't need to approve all of her decisions.

She said: 'My mum has been there for me throughout every single minute of my life and is always a constant source of strength.

'I certainly listen to her opinions but I don't need her approval for a boyfriend.'
