Peter Andre is dating a medical student 17 years his junior.

The 39-year-old TV star met 22-year-old Bristol undergraduate Emily MacDonagh when he was treated by her father, who is a surgeon, two years ago, and the pair have recently become close.

Pete's spokesperson told The Sun newspaper: 'Emily is a lovely girl and Pete thinks the world of her and her family.

'He is extremely cautious and it is early days. They are getting to know each other at the moment but get on tremendously well.'

The 'Mysterious Girl' singer was spotted with the pretty brunette for the first time on Tuesday (10.07.12) when he took her to the London premiere of 'Magic Mike' at the Mayfair Hotel.

Emily's surgeon father Ruaraidh has been an 'extremely close' family friend ever since the urology consultant treated Pete at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Somerset. Pete had to have emergency surgery to remove kidney stones when he fell ill before a concert.

Peter - who shares custody of Junior, six, Princess Tiaamii, five, and 10-year-old stepson Harvey with his ex-wife Katie Price - has also publicly backed Ruaraidh's Health Improvement Project Zanzibar charity.
