Una Healy put a booze ban on Ben Foden the night before their wedding.

The Saturdays beauty was afraid the rugby player would have a 'puffy face' from drinking before their nuptials on June 30 so she asked the venue they were staying in to close the bar at midnight.

She told Britain's OK! magazine: 'We needed to do the rehearsal down at the church the night before the wedding, then we just had a bite to eat at Kilshane House [where the reception was held].

'They asked me how late I wanted the bar to open the night before the wedding. So I was sensible, for me, and said midnight. I just didn't want people getting drunk the night before and I told Ben, too. I didn't want him having one of those 'puffy faces' you get after drinking in our wedding photos.'

Meanwhile, Una, 30, and 26-year-old Ben were determined their daughter Aoife Belle - who was born in March - would play a big part in their celebrations which were held in Una's native County Tipperary in Ireland.

She said: 'It was really important that Aoife Belle played a part so that when she's older we can tell her that she was there when we got married.

'Even when I went to pick up my dress it was just she and I, so I'll be able to say to Aoife Belle that she helped to pick out my wedding dress.'
