Cheryl Cole looks at a man's footwear when deciding if she wants to date them.

The 'Call My Name' singer admitted that the fashion item is one of the first things she refers to when she meets a potential suitor, along with his looks.

She said: 'When I meet a guy I check out his smile, his eyes and then his shoes. They are a real deal-breaker.'

Cheryl also admitted that she has a completely different taste in music than her Girls Aloud band mates and revealed that Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh are not the type of people to relax before their concerts.

She explained: 'Some of the Girls Aloud girls, like Sarah Harding, go bananas before a show with dance tracks.

'I prefer spa music like whales crying and a nice lit candle. I like peace and quiet.'

Last month, Cheryl confessed that she is only strongly attracted to men who like tattoos.

She claimed: 'I think it's reflective of somebody's personality. I don't know what it is. I'm always attracted to people with body art.'
