Katy Perry's friends happy about divorce

Katy Perry's friends are glad she split from Russell Brand.

The 'Teenage Dream' hitmaker and the British comic parted in December after just 14 months of marriage but the singer's close pal and stylist Johnny Wujek says she is happier than ever.

He said: 'She's so much happier since she and Russell ended. She's not miserable at all. We're all really happy for her.

'It was the right decision that the marriage ended. Life's good and her career is killing it. She's a free woman and she can do whatever she wants.'

Katy has been romantically linked with Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd and French model Baptiste Giabiconi since splitting from Russell but Johnny insists she is just having a good time.

He told LOOK magazine: 'She's just a girl having fun. That's what these guys, Rob and Baptiste, popping up in her life are all about.'

And Johnny - who has worked with Katy for five years - says his 27-year-old pal definitely wants to have a family in the future.

He said: 'She loves children. We were talking about the future and kids recently. When the time's right, she'll think about becoming a mother.'
