Kanye West spent £8,000 to travel just 84 miles.

The extravagant rapper hired a private jet and an S-Class Mercedes to get from Doncaster to Birmingham for the latest leg of his UK 'Watch The Throne' tour with Jay-Z.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'He wasn't too enamoured with Doncaster and wanted to get out of the city and into Birmingham as quickly as possible - and this meant by jet.'

'Stronger' singer Kanye then pulled up at Birmingham's five-star Hyatt hotel, where he splashed an extra £5,500 over the next 13 hours treating new girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

The lovebirds - who have been dating since April - stayed in the £1,100-a-night Presidential suite and in total the hip-hop star rented nine rooms.

Kanye, 35, ordered two dozen white roses and 50 bars of white chocolate for Kim before dropping £1,800 in the bar.

The source added: 'He ordered white roses for Kim but is very particular about how his flowers are displayed. He wanted them fresh and without droop.

'Kanye has a lot of money and isn't afraid to spend it. That evening he purchased two bottles of tequila, two bottles of Disaronno and two bottles of vodka.

'He was very generous though, and was dishing it out to all his entourage.'

Reality TV star Kim, 31, recently gushed that Kanye was the perfect boyfriend, saying: 'It's very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you, that respects you, understands, has gone through the similar things.'
