By April MacIntyre Jun 23, 2012, 2:58 GMT

The 68-year-old former Penn State assistant football coach\'s bail has been revoked and he was handcuffed and sent to the Center County Correctional Facility.
The man who liked to shower with young boys, described as a part of the culture of Penn State football according to his attorneys, is guilty on 43 counts of sexual abuse.
The jury in 68-year-old former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky’s child sex abuse trial found him “guilty” on 45 counts and “not guilty” on three counts of sexual child abuse.
Sandusky's bail has been revoked and he was handcuffed and sent to the Center County Correctional Facility.
CNN reported that the verdict broke at about 9:30 p.m. et and a court official alerted the media it would be returned at about 9:50 p.m.
The courtroom was closed by the time the jury and attorneys assembled for the verdict, and no one was be allowed to leave until court until it was adjourned, the judge said in a court order earlier in the week. The verdict was read count by count.
CNN reports that the Pennsylvania Governor reacted in a statement saying, ““First, I want to thank the jury for their willingness to serve on such a difficult case,’’ Corbett said. “I also want to commend the multiple victims in this case who had the courage to come forward and testify in court, confronting Sandusky, and proving beyond a reasonable doubt that he is guilty of these reprehensible crimes,’’ Corbett said.
Jurors began deliberating the case Thursday and talked all day Friday.
Son Matt Sandusky said his father also abused him, his attorneys said.
Also Travis Weaver claimed during an NBC interview Thursday that he was abused by Sandusky more than 100 times in the early 1990s.
The verdict continues the scandal that shamed Penn State university and brought down coach Joe Paterno who died of cancer swiftly after this news broke.
The tipping point many believe was assistant football coach Mike McQueary’s two-hour testimony, as he recounted how he walked in on the raping of a boy against a wall, testified that he did not see the actual penetration, but he did see a boy pressed up against a wall in the football team shower with Sandusky behind him and the distinct sound of slapping flesh on flesh.
The Associated Press reported that civil lawsuits also are likely against Sandusky, his Second Mile charity and Penn State.
