Ludacris, Keri Hilson in Bing Summer of Doing at Osborne High School in Atlanta

Yesterday, Ludacris, Keri Hilson and Far East Movement helped celebrate the Bing Summer of Doing by volunteering alongside Bing and DoSomething.org volunteers and students at Osborne High School in Atlanta, GA.

The musicians participated in various projects to help restore and renovate the school, which is the oldest school in Cobb County with over 87% of the students eligible for free lunch.

Keri Hilson helped create a mural designed to inspire and empower young girls, which featured her own quote: “dream in color, wake up to a blank canvas, then paint your life with all the colors your hear desires.”

Ludacris worked with various volunteers on almost all the school’s projects including Keri’s mural, as well as a Do Something That Matters mural in the cafeteria. He also helped decorate the school’s newly-purchased Cardinal Community Classroom alongside Far East Movement. The mobile classroom will help supply books and other educational materials for the local community.

During group photos with volunteers, Ludacris offered some advice to Far East Movement that they “better get used to it” when they commented about the non-stop flashing cameras, leading on that this was just the beginning of their impending success and popularity.

The rapper is currently in the studio working on his new album Ludaversal, which he remained tight-lipped about, as did Keri Hilson, when also asked about her new release. Hilson did hint that she’d been working with Timbaland in Miami, and Ludacris said if there was one person he’d like to collaborate with in the future, it would be Eminem.

The Osborne High School event was in part of the Bing Summer of Doing, a summer-long campaign aimed at inspiring young people to give back and volunteer in their local community during their free time this summer.

The campaign, which is in celebration of the new Bing, kicked off earlier this month at Heart of Los Angeles with Cody Simpson and Hilary Duff, amongst other celebs, and will continue to New York and Chicago during the remainder of the summer.
