Reese Witherspoon film based on Cheryl Strayed\'s \'Wild\'
Reese Witherspoon's forthcoming motion picture project is expected to get a huge boost after Oprah Winfrey has chosen it for her Book Club.
The television mogul has decided to celebrate the novel the 36-year-old star presented as a possible film project for her new production company in November last year.
The Oscar-winning actress picked up the rights for Cheryl Strayed's 'Wild' four months before it was even published.
Now Oprah has picked the tome for her revived Oprah's Book Club, which became a big part of her former daytime talk show and ended when she ended the programme in 2010.
Reese and her Pacific Standard production partner Bruna Papandrea are planning to turn the story into a new movie, with 'The Kids Are All Right's Lisa Cholodenko as director.
Bruna said: 'It was the first thing we picked up together.'
Meanwhile Reese told The Hollywood Reporter: 'Wild is a magical and evocative book about losing everything - family, money, your mother, your partner - and finding your true spirit alone in the woods.'
Reese is currently pregnant with her third child and first with husband of one year Jim Toth.
She has two children Ava and Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Phillipe.
